We are seeking an experienced SEO Expert to drive our overall search engine optimization and ensure we remain competitive in the rapidly evolving world of AI-powered search. This individual will be responsible for growing our organic visibility, increasing quality website traffic, and identifying new areas for growth—especially as AI search platforms, features, and algorithms emerge. The ideal candidate is both analytically minded and creative, staying on top of search trends (both classic and AI-driven) and continuously optimizing our on-site and off-site strategies.
Responsibilities
- SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with company goals (organic traffic, user engagement, conversions).
- Perform ongoing keyword research to identify new opportunities, optimize existing content, and adapt to AI-driven query patterns.
- On-Page Optimization
- Conduct thorough site audits to ensure best SEO practices across metadata, headings, internal linking, and site structure.
- Collaborate with content teams to optimize website copy, landing pages, and blog posts for both traditional and AI-influenced search behaviors.
- Technical SEO Management
- Monitor and improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, core web vitals, and structured data to enhance user experience and favor AI-based indexing.
- Work with engineering to fix crawl errors, manage redirects, and maintain an SEO-friendly site architecture.
- Off-Page Optimization
- Oversee link-building campaigns and digital PR initiatives to build authoritative, relevant backlinks.
- Monitor brand mentions and collaborate with external partners or agencies to bolster off-page signals.
- AI Search & Emerging Technologies
- Stay informed about AI-driven changes in search technology (e.g., ChatGPT integrations, Bing AI, Google’s AI advancements) and assess their impact on SEO.
- Identify new strategies and best practices for content discovery and ranking within AI-powered search platforms and conversational UIs.
- Experiment with AI-based SEO tools and features to uncover optimization techniques that address voice search, conversational queries, and generative AI outputs.
- Competitive Analysis & Growth Opportunities
- Conduct regular competitive analyses, benchmarking our performance against peers and spotting gaps or opportunities—especially related to AI-driven features.
- Identify niche keywords, new content angles, or emerging search trends to drive incremental traffic and revenue.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs (organic traffic, keyword rankings, backlink profile, conversions) using traditional SEO tools (Google Analytics, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and AI-powered analytics solutions.
- Generate clear performance reports and make data-driven optimizations to improve search presence.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Growth, Product, Content, Engineering) to align SEO efforts with broader company goals.
- Present insights, including AI-related developments, to leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends
- Keep up with algorithm updates, AI-driven innovations, and industry best practices.
- Proactively adjust strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive edge, particularly as AI becomes more influential in search.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in SEO or a related digital marketing role, with demonstrable experience adapting to new search technologies (e.g., voice search, AI-based search).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SEO tools (Google Analytics, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Similar Web) and familiarity with AI/ML-powered platforms or analytics tools.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends, and making insights-driven recommendations—especially regarding AI-driven changes.
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills to effectively partner with developers, designers, content creators, and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proven ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- SEO Knowledge: Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices, with a track record of delivering increased organic visibility.
- AI Awareness: Keen interest or experience with AI-powered search engines, chatbots, and large language models—willingness to experiment and learn.
